Our organic Manzanilla Cacereña oil comes from the Carrasco family’s olive groves located in Sierra de Gata, Extremadura.
Qualis Oliva’s Manzanilla Cacereña is a superior quality extra virgin olive oil obtained directly from olives using mechanical processes only.
This variety of green olive is harvested early, at the beginning of October, and is known for its exceptional quality and flavour. It undergoes an initial cold extraction, which guarantees the preservation of its natural properties. It has a Gata-Hurdes Protected Designation of Origin certificate.
The traditional dry-farmed Manzanilla Cacereña olive grove is located in a valley surrounded by mountains, water and olive groves, in a corner of the Sierra de Gata Cultural Park in northwestern Extremadura. The family cultivates it, pampers it and experiences it in their daily lives.
The family’s journey began in November 2008 in Elijas, a small village in Sierra de Gata. Since then, they have worked tirelessly on the product with the aim of creating a process that is respectful of the environment.
The defining features of the production process of Manzanilla Cacereña extra virgin olive oil are meticulousness and unwavering quality. The olives are harvested manually, carefully selecting the best olives at their ideal ripeness. This guarantees the quality of the raw material.
The result is an organic extra virgin olive oil that stands out for its purity, flavour and freshness.
